Message Sphere

A message sphere, used in the MDS. I looked for 3 months trying to find a suitable ball that I could put messages in, but would stay closed. I really liked this one, because of its scale, and brushed steel look. This really is a spice cider ball, purchased at William Sonoma for like $8. I had to buy one for each station, so we ended up with 6 of them. Attentive cat is provided for scale, only.

I tried using some plastic hollow balls, but they wouldn't stay closed, and they looked kinda cheezy. I wanted a more fantasy feel. I like these spheres because they almost remind one of armor.

I've taken a lot of crap online about the MDS, with people saying that "it wouldn't work" or that"it was really lame" and so on. People seem to forget the point that we built this thing for fun, and that we wanted to do something that would work for our particular group.
