This rather dark and crusty image is of the GM Station light, on a greatly dim setting. The "crystal" itself was purchased at Restoration Hardware, and is really a deck prism.

My wife Dawna is a Saint, and she was supportive of the Gaming Table Project, even though it made her husband sound like a freak. A couple of years ago she bought me this deck prism from Restoration Hardware, because she knew that I'd use it as some kind of gaming prop. (I love props.) So, about 1/2 way through the table construction, I brought it to Ben and said "Hey Ben, let's use this on the table somehow... maybe it'd make a cool light." In fact, it makes a superb light, though it's kinda tough to tell by this awful photo.
