Squire - You
are the Squire to one of the few Knights of Threepenny. Your master
is old, and he's worked hard, but his land and peasants have never really
prospered. (The drought, you know...) You've learned how to care for
armor, sharpen blades, wash clothing, clean stables, brew ale, tend
to the fields, throw rocks, build walls, scrape rust, paint shrines,
and dig ditches. You've evened learned a thing or two about swinging
swords and killing pirates. Your Lord has had to journey to some important
business with King Pelorn in Kopra, leaving you behind to tend to the
manor. Unfortunately, the Blackhand Bandits have been watching from
afar, and they have been waiting for just such an opportunity! Defend
the peasants and the manor, and just maybe you won't have to be a squire
for the rest of your life! (And perhaps get the attentions of that cute
villager that you fancy so much...)
Equipment & Supplies:
Ill fitting (spare) plate armor, a lance,
a cellar full of potatoes, an old rug, a rattle-scaled old Ahnkri named
"Slo", 35 innocent villagers, a dusty (and inaccurate) crossbow
w/200 bolts, a pantry containing 50 torches, an old broom, a keg of
oil-paste, 5 tarnished swords, a pirate's skull, a fishing net, 30 ceramic
bowls, 300 feet of rope, and a run-down Stronghouse manor with a broken
frontgate.
