Vosir Adept - Blademaster
in training. You are completing the last leg of your
Vosir training, and soon you will be working for one
of the rival ruling Houses. You're not so thrilled about
the duels that you will certainly be undertaking, since
few Adepts make it without crippling injuries. You only
wish to master the Vosir arts, and are not so concerned
with political duels.
Rogue Vosir - Rogue Vosir - You have just mastered
your training, but have turned your back upon the Ruling
Houses. You have simply walked away, leaving your friends,
family, and House in an uproar, while your rivals are
cheering in shady parlours. You have had enough as a
pawn, a showpiece in the great political games of the
Empire. You will be your own master. Now you will be
hunted by the assassins of your own House, in an attempt
for them to save face. They are very skilled, so you
must always be on the move, and on the lookout for the
hunters and for enough tokens to maintain your elegant
lifestyle.
As you fled Antharis, only one of your Nain (servants)
would come with you, an eld manling named Nain Foss.
The others begged you to stay behind, and they refused
to come with you. You had to tie them up, or kill them.
You couldn't kill a servant. You will have to help Nain
Foss carry your own equipment.
Equipment & Supplies: Weapons - "Dweara"
a rather old and plain Aelanith blade that you've used
for your advanced training, the weeping steel dry from
centuries of use. (You declined your first Vode (a Vosir
term of service lasting 3 years) which would have provided
you with a stunning Aelanith) It comes with a fair quality
scabbard. A smaller matching Aelan blade accompanies
Dweara.
Armor - Etched carapace armor scaled to your Vosir
Standing. (Sier-Va "New-wielder") This belonged
to you father, and was the first armor that he wore
as a Vosir, too. A deep blue silk cape hangs from the
armor (from your shoulders to your feet), as is the
tradition.
Clothes - Black soft gloves, high black boots with
17 silver buckles on each one, 1 set of traveling clothes,
2 sets of very fine clothes, 1 winter cloak, a pair
of court shoes. (You left 9/10ths of your wardrobe behind.)
A tin of facepowder, to be put on before dueling or
being seen by commoners.3 blue Viv Scarabs - each kept
alive in small wooden cases. As long as the seal of
the boxes is not broken, these will keep for years.Silver
Badge of your former Royal House, to be worn on your
carapace armor.
Food - A tin Antharr blue tea, to be consumed at every
meal, with tea pot. A packet of vinegar & spiced dried
fish, that should last for a couple of weeks. A canteen
of spring water, a jug of wine, and a wheel of hard
white cheese. Also, a pair of eating blades (long slender
chopstick-like blades) and a silver bowl.
Arts - Your traditional poetry journal, which is as
important to carry with you as your Carapace armor.
A good watercolor kit for the ̉Painting Ceremony". (How
can you wield a blade with grace if you cannot wield
a brush?!) A tome of Vosir Philosophy, by Torfyn Schlathe.
Gifts: Loyal Servant - Nain Foss, and experienced
and useful servant who will cater to your every need.
Faults: Enemy - Antharian assasins are relentlessly
after you. Expensive Tastes - Only the best and
most expensive things will do. Spend more than reasonable
for most things.
Explorer - The
League of Houses has entrusted you with expanding their
knowledge of the Discovered Lands. They find that the
ancient maps are no longer accurate or useful, and that
soon it will be time to expand the Empire. So, the first
thing that you are going to do, is try to purchase some
maps and charts from the other cultures. Then, after
you've assembled them, you will redraft them in your
own hand. Certainly, this will take years to accomplish,
so you've been sent with enough tokens to accomplish
this task. However, you gambled away all of your riches
just last week, in a heated game of Spinjak. Now, a
League representative is looking for you, and wants
to see the progress you've made in the past five years
of "Exploring." Looks like you may just have
to do some real cartography of your own...
