Description:
Currently the cloak is composed of an interwoven mesh of dead roses. It appears that the roses where originally a dark red in color and where of very high quality. The stems are tightly woven together and have very sharp thorns. It is unclear how one would wear the cloak comfortably. There is a beautiful clasp that appears to be mithral. The cloak does not appear to have suffered any ill effect from the tremendous forces directed at its former occupant during the combat with your company (lightening arrows, ato flames, etc.)
GM Description:
Upon removal from the faery pack, the cloak of roses once again appears to be a finely crafted cloak comprised of very dead dark red (almost black roses). Dhelks examination of the cloak finds it to be linked to the Fey. He indicates that the Fey ties do not appear to be particularly powerful but he is not sure if it because of the nature of the enchantment or because they are dormant. He indicates that it appears to be a working of Celatrin magic. Further investigation yields no additional information.

Shem tries on the cloak, it is very uncomfortable due to the sharp black thorns. After 10-15 minutes of constantly disengaging the barbed thorns from his back and posterior he becomes a bit frustrated. As he is preparing to remove it, Jeoffery notices a small bit of greenery within the weave. Upon closer examination it appears to be a bit of new growth. Intruiged, Shem continues to wear the cloak. Over the next couple of days the dead roses are replaced with a rugged weave of wild roses, more greenery than flowers. Its somewhat shaggy appearance would be very useful for hiding in the woods. The thorns are mostly receded but could be a problem to anybody trying to grapple Shem. The cloak does not appear to offer a small degree of additional protection and appears to be very resistant to damage. Wearing it outside, Shem notices that the cloak does continue to grow and adjusts to meld into the surronding growth offering a tremendous degree of camoflauge.

Appreciating the beauty of the flowers, Lady Tirian asks if she could try on the cloak. After a night of wearing it, the company finds that the rough field roses are being replaced by a cloak of perfectly shaped white roses. The cloak changes appearance much slower for Tirian than it did for Shem.

Before the change is complete, Dhelk inquire as to whether he might be allowed to don the cloak. Reluctantly, Lady Tiran surrenders the cloak. Dhelk finds that the roses change more quickly when he is wearing it. Roses begin to grow, at a much faster rate than with Tirian or Shem. One can stand and watch them change and grow. The roses are finely shaped and mixed with some greenery. Colors vary from white, to orange, to red, with a variety of mixed colored roses of the same basic hues. The roses continue to grow, wilt, and recover for a few minutes amazing all until one bursts into flames. It quickly burns out and it replaced by another. Other roses periodically burst into flames. It appears to Dhelk that the Rose cloak is reacting to his own ties with Ato fey.

Removing it, and waiting a bit for the fires to quit, Dhelk passes the cloak to Marcus. A short while later, fine Red roses begin to appear with some greenery. The change occurs at about the same pace as it did for Tirian.

When Jeoffery dons the cloak, he finds that it slowly grows to adjust for his size and is a mix of greenery and small white/blue roses. He also finds it adjusts at about the same pace as Tirian and Marcus.

Father Dun appears to grow a similar color rose to Jeoffery but they are fewer in number and larger.

Bhela appears to grow a tight weave of midnight blue roses.

After convincing Borneo to try it on, the company finds that it grows a bit faster, much as it did for Shem and has a similar appearance although with a few more yellow roses.

While discussing the implications of the various colors, Vran crackskull gets his hands on the cloak and dons it. He appears to grow a mix of Red and White roses with extensive greenery. He appears to find the Red ones quite appetizing.

The cloak responds the most rapidly to Raef. It grows before your eyes into a beautiful multi-colored cloak of roses and greenery. Contined growth can be seen throughout the weave of the cloak. As Raef begins to sings (as he often does) the cloak begins to weave and sway a bit in time to the music. It is a bit mesmerizing.

Continued expirementation suggests that the cloak will take 2-3 days to adjust to a given wearer, except Borneo and Shem to whom it will fully adjust in a day and continue to adjust mildly for the terrain. For Dhelk the cloak adjusts in a matter of hours but the fires can be a bit of a hazard. As earlier indicated, the cloak does appear to offer some protection and can be very attractive. Dhelk indicates that contact with living beings seems to have awakened the cloaks ties to the fey. He is unable to determine the extent of the connection or whether there might be additional helpful or baneful workings set upon the cloak.
