The Lines of Fey |
|
The ancient Asidri funneled, contained, and redirected
Gyr's random Fey flowings, bringing order to it, and making "the Fey lines."
Fey lines are marked by pitted standing stones (Feystones), which are believed
to guide the Fey rivers. Each Fey line has its own distinct signature; certain
types of magic work better on or about certain lines, and some lines have strange
effects associated with them. Collectively, this network of lines is known as
the "Symphony."
The Symphony allows wizards to shape spells, enchantments,
and bindings. It provides the "fuel" for enchantments and spells.
Some Wizards are able to listen to the "music" of the Fey flowing
down the lines, and can hear its voice. In past ages, Sorcerors were said to
be able to walk the Feylines, and travel vast distances in mere moments.
In recent times, some have sought the destruction of the Symphony, in order
to lay waste to the Order that the Asidri created or destroy Fey in Gyr. The
Galilaens are known to have created massive mechanical Juggernauts intended
to travel distant lands and destroy Feystones. It is unknown whether or not
they have been successful in diminishing the magic of Agyris, so far. However,
the Juggernauts are spotted from time to time, sagues from Galilae.
